Michelle Byers Brown first came to the Hartsville community 1990 and fell in love with the people and the Pee Dee area. Although relocations throughout the country due to work transfers were to come, she always maintained those ties built in Hartsville. She is thrilled to be able to give back and serve the community that has given her so much. Her career began in Development and Marketing for a Christian school in the Atlanta area. After several years in private industry, she felt a heart calling back to the non-

profit world, where she worked until coming to the City of Hartsville. She currently serves the residents of Hartsville as the City’s Director of Tourism and Communication.

The opportunity to be involved with the Child & Family Resource Foundation is very important as Michelle feels the more emotional and social support that can be provided to children and families will result in a stronger community and future.
