STRENGTHENING FAMILIES PROGRAM

STRENGTHENING FAMILIES PROGRAM
With an award from The Children's Trust of SC, Child and Family Resource Foundation has partnered with Darlington County First Steps and West Hartsville Elementary School in an effort to support and strengthen relationships of parents and children within the school.

The Strengthening Families Program is a 14 week program that "that works closely with families with children ages 6 to 11 to develop positive discipline practices, stay resilient in tough times, reduce conflict, improve parenting skills, and assist children with social skills, relationships, and school performance. All of these factors play an important role in keeping families strong while protecting against potential child abuse or neglect." The program will offer meals and interactive learning activities to all attendees to better help create relationships within the families.
