Whitney Watts Bedard is the Dean of Student Success at Coker University. Whitney was born and raised in Conway, S.C. She received her B.A. in communication and English from Coker and her M.Ed. in higher education and student affairs from the University of South Carolina.

Whitney began working at Coker as assistant director of residence life and the first-year experience in 2010, became director of residence life in 2012, and dean of students in 2014. In July of 2017, Whitney became the first dean of student success. She has served on countless Coker committees, taught Coker University 101 (CC101) and Coker University 102 (CC102), serves on the Cobra Club board, the Coker Alumni Association board, served as the treasurer of Hartsville Young Professionals, and has presented at many symposiums, conferences and retreats.

Whitney resides in Hartsville, S.C.with her husband Adam and their two dogs, Padmė and Vadar.

"I believe in the mission of the organization (Child and Family Resource Foundation) and want to help in any way possible to support children and their families in the Hartsville community."

Whitney has previously served on the Hartsville Young Professionals Board as Treasurer and the Coker College Alumnia Board as Secretary.
