Meet Amanda

AMANDA KISSIAH

I am Amanda Farmer - Kissiah and a native of Hartsville, South Carolina. I graduated from Coker College where I majored in Psychology and then went on to pursue my Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy at Capella University.

I have previously offered counseling services at Rubicon Family Counseling to individuals that suffered from substance abuse. I also worked with their families to provide education and support in their recovery. My experience at Rubicon provided individual therapy, family therapy as well as group therapy.

When children or families experience challenges, or life-changing events, they may not know how to cope with it alone. Seeking help can be scary as you are approaching unfamiliar territory. However, counseling can be beneficial and effective in providing coping skills and promoting positive change.

I believe my education, personal experience and the desire to help those in need led me to Child and Family Resource Foundation. It is here that you are welcomed in a safe and non-judgemental space where you can be your true self. I am empathetic and nurturing and am ready to assist you in becoming the best version of yourself.

I am pleased to be a part of Child and Family Resource Foundation where I too can be a voice of hope and provide healing to our children and families.
